Vivek Anand Oberoi Biography
Born : 03 September 1976
Height: 5′ 11″ (1.8 m)
education from Mayo College, Ajmer. Thereafter, he attended Mithibai College, Juhu. He completed his
Master’s degree in Film Acting from New York University. Before stepping into the film industry, healso
worked as a script writer in India.
Oberoi made his debut with Ram Gopal Varma's film Company (2002). He received many accolades for
this film. The masses loved him for his acting skills and the critics appreciated him for the fresh acting on
stage. He then starred in the action films, Road (2002) and Dum (2004). Both films were critically
appreciated.
Next, he starred alongside Rani Mukherjee in the romantic film Saathiya (2002) directed by Shaad Ali.
The film was a big hit at the box office and earned him an award nomination. After this, Oberoi starred
in many films including Masti (2004), Yuva (2004) and Kisna: The Warrior Poet (2005). All these films
earned him the much needed appreciation from the critics and the masses alike.
In 2006, he appeared in Omkara, an adaptation of Shakespeare's play Othello. He played the character
of Kesu, based on the character Michael Cassio in the original play. He then acted as the gangster
film Shootout at Lokhandwala(2007) and Mission Istanbul (2008).
