Sohail Khan Biography
Born : 20 December 1969
Height: 5' 8″ (1.7 m)
The youngest Khan stepped into Hindi cinema as a film producer and director, his first film being action thriller Auzaar (1997) starring his brother Salman Khan, and Sanjay Kapoor. The next year, he directed both his older brothers in the hit romantic comedy film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998) and later in Hello Brother (1999). The former got him nominated for the Filmfare Award for the Best Movie.
He decided to come on stage and make his acting debut in 2002. So he wrote, produced, directed and made his acting debut with Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (2002) which got him mixed reviews. He acted in a few more films, but nothing clicked for his acting career until Maine Pyaar Kyun Kia (2005).
After that, he produced Partner (2007), starring brother Salman Khan and Govinda in the lead roles along with Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif. In the years after, he then went on to produce God Tussi Great Ho (2008), based on the Hollywood film Bruce Almighty (2003), and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna (2009).
Khan has seen much more success as a director than as an actor. He returned to direction with the film Jai Ho (2014) starring Salman Khan.
Sohail Khan has also produced live stage shows in India and all over the world featuring various Indian film stars. He has also been seen on television as one of the judges in some seasons of Comedy Circus.
