Actress Soha Ali Khan comes from a family of Nawabs, who were also cricketers. Born in the family of Nawabs of Pataudi, she is the youngest in the family. Daughter of cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore, she was born on 4th October, 1978. Her brother is actor Saif Ali Khan and sister-in-law is actress Kareena Kapoor. Her father and paternal grandfather, Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi, were former captains of the Indian cricket team. Khan attended The British School, New Delhi and studied modern history at Balliol College, Oxford. She went on to earn a Masters degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Her first film was in Benagli – Iti Srikanta (2004). She made her Bollywood debut with Dil Maange More (2004). Though the movie failed to do well, Khan was noticed and offered roles in several films. However, her subsequent films like Shaadi No.1 (2005) and Pyaar Mein Twist (2005) failed to do much for her career. But she surprised all with her performance in Ahista Ahista (2006).

Rang De Basanti (2006), proved to be her first commercial success and got her much acclaim. Later, films like Mumbai Meri Jaan (2008) did work some magic for her, while others like Dil Kabaddi (2008), Dhoonte Reh Jaaoge (2009) got her mixed reviews. The songs of her movie Tum Mile (2009) did well, but the the film didn’t do much for her. Khan has worked in many acclaimed movies so far. Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster Returns (2013) got her noticed once more.

Besides acting in films, she has endorsed many products, some along with her mother and brother. She is married to actor Kunal Khemu.

Her most recent appearance was in the film Ghayal Once Again (2016).
