Niyati Joshi, originally from Pune, is known mostly for her small-screen appearances. She did her schooling at MIT School, Pune, and obtained a degree in commerce from the Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce. She was an active participant in cultural events at school and acted in several plays. After completing her studies, she shifted to Mumbai to pursue her acting dream. Following a brief period of struggle, she made a foray into television and was featured in Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan (2002-2009), Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyan (2006), and Rakt Sambandh (2010). She got her first break in Hindi cinema with Rucha Humnabadkar's For Here Or To Go? The film received critical response but did not do well at the box office. In 2016, she appeared in Monjoy Mukherjee's Hai Apna Dil Toh Awara which also failed at the box office. She is often seen on the TV show Savdhan India.
