Malaika Arora Khan, formerly known as Malaika Arora, began her career with MTV as a Video Jockey (VJ). With her good looks, it wasn’t long before she gained popularity. With this, MTV made her the co-anchor of many of its popular programmes. Her impressive hosting skills got her offers for many other shows and functions. After this, the film industry was not far away. She made her debut with the film Aaja Meri Jaan (1993). However, it did not do much for her acting career. She went on to play roles in movies like Kaante (2002) and EMI (2008), none of which fared particularly well.

Yet, Khan was not destined for fame as an actress. It was her memorable appearance in the movie Dil Se.. This dance number, which was shot on a running train, got her into the limelight once again and she was now also seen as an impressive dancer with her seductive moves. After this, the multi-talented beauty not only featured in other ‘item songs’, but also did several cameo roles in movies, which included Bichchoo (2000), Housefull (2010), Housefull 2 (2012) and Happy New year (2014).

She once again got the pulse racing with her dance in the ‘item song’ “Munni Badnaam Hui” in Dabangg (2010). With this movie, she also donned the hat of a producer. The film was directed by her husband Arbaaz Khan and starred her brother-in-law Salman Khan. Besides that, she was also producer for Dabangg 2 (2012) and Dolly Ki Doli (2015).
