Lisa Haydon

One of India's top models, Lisa Haydon was born on 17 June 1986 in Madras. Her early aspiration was to be a yoga teacher. She began modelling to pay for her fees while studying pscyhology in Australia. Fascinated with her sister's Mallika's modelling career in India she returned home. With her hard work and dedication she was soon walking the ramp for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week and HDL-India Couture Week. Besides being the face of Lakme, Haydon appeared in a number of commercials, including for the Hyundai i20 car, Myntra.com ecommerce website, and Blenders Pride whisky.

Haydon was featured on the cover of Verve (March 2008, January 2011), Elle (April 2009, May 2009, May 2010, April 2011), Femina (April 2009), Harper's Bazaar (January–February 2010), FHM (August 2010), and Adorn (November–December 2010). She got a break in Hindi cinema when she was spotted by Anil Kapoor and cast in Rajshree Ojha's Aisha (2010) based on Jane Austen's novel Emma. In the meantime, she went to New York and did an acting course.

Haydon received critical acclaim for her role in Vikas Bahl's Queen (2014). Her character Vijayalakshmi, a bold young woman, earned numerous accolades, including Rajeev Masand's comment: "She is a complete revelation in the role of Rani's bohemian Parisian pal, investing the character with both sultriness and genuine affection." Other films in which she appeared include Abhishek Sharma's The Shaukeens (2014) and Sajid Farhad's Housefull 3 (2016). She also made a cameo appearance in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016).

In October 2016 Lisa Haydon got married to her long-time boyfriend Dino Lalvani. The couple has a son named Zack.
