Kriti Sanon, the tall and attractive model and actress, was born on 27 July 1990 in New Delhi. She completed her schooling from the well-known Delhi Public School and earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in electronics from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, NOIDA.

Sanon began modelling for television commercials for big brands like Amul, Himalaya, Close-Up, Vivel and Samsung. She also walked the ramp at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2010 in Mumbai, the Chennai International Fashion Week and the India International Jewellery Week.

After grabbing attention as a model, Sanon got her first acting assignment in the Telugu film 1-Nenokkadine (2014). Her performance and looks in the movie were appreciated and the same year, she made her Hindi film debut with Heropanti opposite newcomer Tiger Shroff. The film received mixed reviews but was declared a commercial success. Her next big opportunity came in Dilwale (2015) opposite Varun Dhawan, also starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.

Sanon’s popularity has brought her several brand endorsements for products like hair oil, cola, ice-cream, toiletries, etc. In July 2014, she launched Tissot's Quickster Football watch in India.

Sanon had two very different films in 2017, Bareilly Ki Barfi, a small-budget film in which she played a small-town girl, and Raabta, a big-budget fantasy based on the legend of Mirza-Sahibaan. Her role in Bareilly Ki Barfi was appreciated and the film, co-starring the very talented Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao, was a hit while Raabta, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, failed to excite critics and sank like a stone at the box office.
