Krishna D.K. Biography

Born : 13 December 1972

Krishna DK is an award-winning US-based film director of Indian origin. He is part of the writer-director-producer duo with Raj Nidimoru, who are said to belong to the new age filmmakers. Krishna has almost directed six films. His first Hindi film was Shaadi.Com (2002). The film opened to mixed and positive reviews, but was appreciated by the critics.

After Krishna’s initial success, he teamed up with Nidimoru and their first film was Flavours (2004) – a movie about East Indians in the US. The film won rave reviews across the globe and is considered a cult hit, especially among Indian emigrants around the world. The film was an official entry at significant international film festivals, including Hamptons, Milan, Cairo, Durban, Bangkok, Mumbai and Hawaii International Film Festivals.

After this, they made a mainstream Hindi film, 99 (2009), starring Kunal Khemu and Soha Ali Khan. Audiences who have appreciated their style of film making look forward to more work from the duo.
