Ishaan Khatter Biography

Ishaan Khatter studied at the Jamnabai Narsee School and Billabong High International School in Mumbai. He also took dance lessons at choreographer Shiamak Davar‘s dance academy. He appeared as a child artiste in the movie Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! (2005) starring Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao.
Ishaan Khatter worked as an assistant director on Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab (2016), which also starred Shahid Kapoor. He also assisted director Danish Renzu on the movie Half Widow (2017).
Khatter's first movie as a lead actor was Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds (2017), in which he played a drug dealer. The movie was premiered at the BFI London Film Festival and released in April 2018 in India.
Khatter's performance in the movie was praised and he received the Best Actor award at Istanbul’s Fifth International Bosphorous Film Festival.
Khatter’s latest film is Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak (2018), which is Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s debut movie and is a remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat (2016). Dhadak was produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios.
