Film and television actor Hiten Paintal, son of veteran film actor Kanwarjit Paintal, was born on 19 December 1978. He began his career as a television actor. However, after a few ventures, including Yeh Hai Mere Apne, Ek Ladki Anjaani Si and Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Ssshh... Koi Hai and CID, he quit the small screen.

Hiten Paintal made his film debut with Sanjay Gadhvi's Tere Liye in 2000. He has since featured in Anant Mahadevan's Dil Maange More (2005), Siddharth Anand's Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), David Dhawan's Rascals (2011) and Yesudas BC's 30 Minutes (2016) in pivotal roles.
