Born in Ludhiana, Punjab, Herry Tangiri recently caught the eye with his portrayal of a young Yuvraj Singh in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016). Tangiri first made his appearance in Hindi cinema with Dibakar Banerjee's critically acclaimed film LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhoka (2010). He was then seen in Alankrita Shrivastava's Turning 30!!! and Pankaj Kapoor's romantic drama Mausam in 2011. None of these did much business at the box office. In 2012, Tangiri featured in Sameer Sharma's Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana which was a decent commercial success. In 2013, he became part of another successful venture, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. In the following years he was cast in a series of projects that did not receive much response either critically or commercially. Among these were Dilip Sood's Bhaangarh (2014), Umesh Shukla's All Is Well (2015), Vivek Agnihotri's Junooniyat (2016), and Monjoy Mukherjee's Hai Apna Dil To Awara (2016). But he finally tasted success with Neeraj Pandey's MS Dhoni.
