Born on 9 November 1990 in Bombay, Harshvardhan Kapoor is the only son of Sunita and Anil Kapoor and younger brother of actress Sonam Kapoor and producer-actress Rhea Kapoor. After completing his schooling, Kapoor moved to Los Angeles to study filmmaking. He returned to India and began assisting Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra on the sets of Delhi-6 (2009), before moving on to assist Anurag Kashyap in Bombay Velvet (2012). The actor made his debut in Hindi cinema with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya (2016), opposite Saiyami Kher. In the film based on the legendary romance of Mirza and Sahiban, Kapoor played the role of Adil/Mirza. The actor has also been cast as the lead in Vikramaditya Motwane's Bhavesh Joshi, and Sriram Raghavan's upcoming film.
