Diljit Dosanjh's first music album was Ishq Da Uda Ada (2004) with composer Babloo Mahendra and lyricist Balvir Boparai. His next music album was Dil (2004). He then sang in Smile (2005) and became a popular voice with the tracks 'Nach Diyan Alran Kuwariyan' and 'Paggan Pochviyan Wale'.
The singer's other albums include Ishq Ho Gaya (2006), Chocolate (2008), The Next Level (2009), Sikh (2012) and Back To Basics (2012). His latest, Con.Fi.Den.Tial, was released on 21 February 2018.
Diljit Dosanjh sang in Punjabi movies like The Lion Of Punjab (2011), in which he also made his debut as an actor, Jihne Mera Dil Luteya (2011) and Dharti (2011). He has also sung some popular Hindi film songs like 'Pee Pa Pee Pa Ho Gaya' (Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, 2012), 'Ikk Kuddi' (Udta Punjab, 2016), 'Move Your Lakk' (Noor, 2017) and 'Raula' (Jab Harry Met Sejal, 2017).
Most of Dosanjh's Punjabi films have been successful at the box office, including some big hits like Jihne Mera Dil Luteya (2011), Jatt & Juliet (2012), Jatt & Juliet 2 (2013), Sardaarji (2015), Sardaarji 2 (2016) and Super Singh (2017).
Dosanjh's first Hindi film as an actor was Udta Punjab (2016), which brought him a lot of recognition in the industry. He next played the role of Roop Lal Phillauri in Phillauri (2017) and Teji in Welcome To New York (2018). His latest Hindi film is Soorma (2018), in which he played the lead role of former India hockey star and captain Sandeep Singh. He is currently shooting for the comedy Arjun Patiala (2018).
Dosanjh has won several awards in his career. His first was the Punjabi International Film Academy award for Best Actor for Jihne Mera Dil Luteya. He won the PTC Punjabi Film award for Best Actor every year from 2012 through 2015. He also won the Filmfare award for Best Male Debut in 2017 for Udta Punjab and the Filmfare Punjabi Best Actor award for Ambarsariya. He has also won many awards for his songs and albums.
In 2013, Diljit Dosanjh founded the Saanjh Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on poor children and the elderly.
