Jagjit Singh began his journey as a ghazal singer with a unique voice back in the 1970s. In 1976, he, along with his wife Chitra, released an album titled The Unforgettable, which turned him into a star and made it possible for him to sing for films like Arth, Saath Saath and Prem Geet.
