Anjum Rajabali Biography
Born : 07 August 1958, in Talaja, Gujarat, India
Anjum Rajabali has been a professional screenwriter since 1992, with films like Drohkaal (1994), Ghulam (1998), The Legend Of Bhagat Singh (2002), and Raajneeti (2010) to his name. For 12 years, he was honorary head of the screenplay writing department, which he designed and created, at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Since 2006, he has been founder-head of screenwriting at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai, the film school set up by Subhash Ghai. He regularly conducts screenwriting workshops in India and abroad, and has convened several national seminars and conferences on screenwriting. As a leading activist of the Screenwriters Association (formerly Film Writers Association), he has been vigorously engaged in the struggle for writers’ rights.
