A little storm was created after Rajinikanth's next film Kabali found itself in the midst of a plagiarism row with the actor's face pasted in Irrfan Khan's Madaari poster. At first, Rajini fans were in disbelief but soon it became clear that the poster was the handiwork of a Rajinikanth fan.
Irrfan Khan, too, saw the lighter side of it, urging fans to cheer for both the films that release on 15 July, 2016.
Truth be told, even if this poster was created by the Kabali men, Madaari makers still would have felt proud to have Rajini's face imprinted on their poster.
So, keeping in line with the light mood, we thought how the south super star could fit into some of the popular Hindi flicks.
2 Mogul-e-Azam
When it comes to the celluloid, there is only one undisputed king, rather the undisputed mogul. Well, even Hindi cinema's iconic Akbar (Prithivraj Kapoor) would willingly surrender his throne to King Rajini.
3 Dadiwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge
Once at an awards do, Shah Rukh Khan had famously asked Rajinikanth, "What does it take to be the biggest superstar of the country?” The great and humble man merely said that one day SRK would became the greatest. Well, not so fast son. You gotta long way to go. While you were busy gazing at your narcissistic mirror, the Dadiwala took away his dulhaniya.
4 Bachna Aayyio Haseeno
Even at 65, he romances girls decades younger than him. However, whether one is 20 or 30, it is a privilege, an honour for every girl to romance the ultimate King of romance, the ultimate ladies' man. Bachna Aayyio Haseeno.
6 Pongal
If there's one thing that binds Aamir Khan and Rajinikanth, it is their humility. While Aamir many never concede ground to Salman or Shah Rukh, the Dangal star would lay down a red carpet for Rajinikanth.
Disclaimer: Pongal is merely used as a pun to Dangal. It has no reference to the traditional pudding or the festival)
7 Shamikanth
They aren't just the two biggest superstars in the country but they are also the best of friends. Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth have developed a mutual admiration society between them. Amitabh Bachchan couldn't propel Shamitabh to great heights, perhaps R.Balki would have been better served by having Rajinikanth add his midas touch to Shamitabh. Also, Rajinikanth would have kept a tab on his son-in-law Dhanush. Shamikanth would have been a great family entertainer.
8 BajRajini Bhaijaan
Salman Khan rules the box office in Indian cinema but he, too, has his critics and largely appeals to a select audience - his hardcore fans. Rajinikanth is among the few actors who has a pan India appeal. Despite Bajrangi Bhaijaan being a blockbuster, it wasn't lapped up by some critics. So, how does such a film get a pan India and global appeal? Just rope in Bajrajini Bhaijaan.
