1 Churaa Liyaa Hai Tumne (2003)
In a film about kidnappings and gang war, Zayed Khan was as influential as autos in the Indian ocean. Alongside a stellar star cast of Esha Deol and Salil Ankola, Khan looked right at home with his overreaction to every emotion. If ever there was a sign that he was not cut out for acting, it was the box-office performance of this film.
2 Shaadi No 1 (2005)
Before Humshakals and Thank You, there was Shaadi No 1. This David Dhawan caper had Zayed Khan playing a tortured husband alongside Fardeen Khan and Sharman Joshi. With enough cringe-worthy dialogues, and Sanjay Dutt to boot, Shaadi No 1 is one of those films which make us question the existence of god, and Zayed Khan's acting ability.
3 Fight Club – Members Only (2006)
This is David Fincher's worst nightmare! Any cult film with Brad Pitt and Edward Norton would require some serious star power to replicate. But picking Dino Morea, Ashish Chaudhary, Riteish Deshmukh and, of course, Zayed Khan as the replacements is an idea that not even the sleep-deprived brain of Jack could have conjured up. Khan, to be fair, had nothing to do with, or in, the film.
4 Cash (2007)
Having enthralled us with his performances in Shaadi No 1 and Vaada, Zayed Khan was back to his worst with Anubhav Sinha's Cash. In this film, a heavily stylized version of Ocean's 11 (2001), Khan was expected to play Matt Damon to Ajay Devgn's Brad Pitt. Sadly, neither of them could rescue the cartoonish hash that was the film.
5 Yuvvraaj (2008)
Subhash Ghai has made some bad choices in his life. Sadly, Zayed Khan features in one of them. Yuvvraaj was one of the worst films for both the actor and the director. In a Rainman-meets-Subhash Ghai film, Zayed Khan played the annoying younger brother of Hindi cinema's favourite 'bhaijaan', Salman Khan. Somewhere between Katrina Kaif's cello and Salman Khan's ponytail, Zayed's acting career met its sad end.
