Jacqueline Fernandez's 6 hot dance tracks: Birthday special

by   Mayur Lookhar

A rank outsider to the Hindi film industry, Sri Lankan model Jacqueline Fernandez has made her mark in Indian films. While the purists will still hold their verdict over her acting prowess, there is no doubting that Fernandez has taken a liking to the song and dance sequence of Bollywood. 2016 has already seen her with some breath-taking dance numbers like Beat Pe Booty (A Flying Jatt) and Sau Tarah Ke (Dishoom).  As she turns a year older today, we look back at the most memorable tracks of the diva.

1 Aapka Kya Hoga Janabe Ali (Dhanno) – Housefull (2010)

After a horrific start to her career in Hindi film industry, Jacqueline Fernandez was written off as a poor import until Sajid Khan gave her a new lease of life by choosing her to play Dhanno in the remake of the classic Kishore Kumar track ‘Aapka Kya Hoga’ from the 1981 film Laawaris. While nobody can match Kishore, Mika Singh gave this remake a touch of his own. Music apart, this reprisal from Housefull had all movie buffs whistling in theatres to Jacqueline’s seductive moves.

2 Dil Sambhal Ja Zara – Murder 2 (2011)

Having figured out which way the wind will blow for her in this industry, Fernandez pushed the envelope with intimate scenes in this romantic number from Murder 2. Mr. Serial Kisser Emraan Hashmi had the best seat in the house.

3 Lat Lag Gayi – Race 2 (2013)

There was a stark difference in Jacqueline’s appearance in this one. She looked leaner and fitter, above all more sexy, more hot. Her signature Lat Lag Gayi step was an instant hit. One wouldn’t be blamed for getting addictive to the seductive Jacqueline merely by virtue of this song from Race 2.

4 Jadu Ki Jhappi – Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013)

Until now, all we’d seen from Jacqueline is the urban babe, but the Sri Lankan beauty showed that she could look equally hot in a desi number. This was just a special appearance as Prabhu Deva provided some of the spiciest desi dance moves.

5 Solo dance on Jumme Ki Raat – Kick (2014)

No words, but pure magic on display as Jacqueline takes to the dance floor - in sync with the music, and with every tiny beat. Arguably Fernandez’s sexiest and most skilled dance performance. Not just Salman, but all of us derived a great 'Kick' with this mesmerising act.

6 Chittiyaan Kaliyaan  – Roy (2015)

How can a dancer’s career be fulfilled without getting a little taste of the Punjabi flavour? Jacqueline Fernandez found herself breaking into freestyle dancing and lip synching to this peppy track from Kanika Kapoor from the romantic thriller Roy. Just fold your wrists and take a bow to super Jacqueline.
