Kamaal Rashid Khan now arrested for allegedly demanding sexual favours

Actor and self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal Rashid Khan also known as KRK is now embroiled in a case of sexual harassment and has been arrested for the same. He was also arrested last week on 29 August for posting allegedly derogatory tweets against actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan after their death in April 2020.
Khan was then arrested by the Versova Police on Saturday, 3 September, for allegedly demanding sexual favours from a struggling actress and also forcefully holding her hand. As per the news agency Asian News International (ANI), which reported the news, the incident happened in the first week of January 2019. He was presented in the Bandra court yesterday and was sent for 14-days judicial custody.
ANI quoted Versova Police on Twitter saying, “Kamaal Rashid Khan arrested by Versova Police for demanding sexual favours and holding the complainant’s hand in the first week of January 2019. Versova Police arrested him by transfer order of 24th MM Court, Borivali, Mumbai.” The agency added, “Kamaal Rashid Khan was presented in Bandra court today where he was sent to 14-day judicial custody.”

Khan’s hearing in the derogatory tweets case will take place today at the metropolitan magistrate court. The complaint in this case was Shiv Sena’s Yuva Sena leader Rrahul Kanal who filed the grievance against Khan on 30 April 2020.
