The original Hindi language version of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (2022) has had a positive second weekend at the box office.
Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the superhero film earned Rs8.25 crore nett on its second Friday, 16 September. From here on, the film has had a terrific jump on Saturday, 17 September, and Sunday, 18 September, as it scored Rs14 crore and Rs14.75 crore nett respectively, as per figures shared by the trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.

Also starring Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles, the total of Brahmastra in the Hindi version stands at Rs179.91 crore nett. The movie, produced by Dharma Productions, has amassed Rs21 crore nett through its dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. This takes its grand total to Rs200.91 crore. The film has scored a double century in India earlier than many anticipated.
Brahmastra, however, is far from being called a hit at the Indian box office simply because, as per our sources, its overall budget amounts to a huge Rs400 crore. However, it’s just the second Hindi film this year to go past the Rs200 crore mark after Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files (2022).
