Diljit Dosanjh’s Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne to be released on 5 October

Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh is riding high after the release of his first Netflix feature Jogi (2022) which examines events around the 1984 Sikh riots. Days after the release of the film, the actor shared the release date of his next Punjabi feature, Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne (2022), which is scheduled to release in theatres on 5 October.

Dosanjh shared the news on Instagram along with additional details about the film’s cast and crew.


Previously, the actor has shared an animated poster of the film, along with the release date of 30 September 2022. However, the release date has now been pushed by less than a week, and will coincide with the festival of Dussera.

The poster features the ensemble cast from the film, including his co-stars Sargun Mehta and Sohail Ahmed. The music is by Avvy Dra, while Arvind Thakur is the choreographer.

The film is edited by Rohit Dhiman; Sonali Singh and Hammad Chaudhry have come on board as associate producer and executive producer respectively.

Written by Naresh Kathooria, the film is directed by Amarjit Singh Saron and shot by filmmaker-cinematographer is Baljit Singh Deo.

Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne will mark the second collaboration between Saron and Dosanjh, who worked on the superhit film Honsla Rakh (2021).
