The original Hindi version of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (2022) had a brilliant weekend, but afterwards the film has seen a fall in numbers ever since the weekday began.
Keeping up with the trend, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer made Rs7.75 crore nett yesterday, 15 September, according to the figures shared by the trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com. The film’s figure reached almost the half of what it earned on Monday, 12 September, which was Rs14 crore nett. The online trade publication stated the drop has been more than it should have.

The Hindi total of Brahmastra currently stands at Rs146.50 crore nett. The film has earned Rs18.75 crore nett from its dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. This has ensured that the film’s first week number in all languages has reached a good Rs165.25 crore.
The film’s performance in its second weekend beginning today will determine if it will reach the Rs200 crore mark in its second week.
However, even if it does reach that number, Brahmastra still can't called a hit since its cost of production has been huge Rs400 crore, especially since it was in production for seven years.
Mukerji has said in a recent interview that the second movie in the trilogy titled Brahmastra Part Two: Dev will be released after around three years.
