Dhokha Round D Corner trailer: R Madhavan is hell-bent to save his wife in this twisted thriller

The teaser of director Kookie Gulati’s Dhokha: Round D Corner (2022), which was more like a trailer itself, revealed that the film is a hostage thriller. The actual promo of the same movie is just an extension of it. 

The story takes place in Mumbai where a terrorist (Aparshakti Khurana) enters a plush residence with a gun and takes the housewife Sanchi (Khushalii Kumar), who is alone at that time, hostage and demands Rs50 lakh as ransom. Her husband Yatharth (R Madhavan) makes valiant efforts to rescue her. 

The most interesting bit about the trailer is how the first scene of the footage is repeated in the end but with a twist. This is rarely seen in Hindi film trailers. It also helps in getting the audience curious about the story. The trailer also indicates that the characters might have different motives than what they display overtly. 

Madhavan succeeds in showing desperation to rescue his wife. Khushalii appears glamorous in a mysterious role. Khurana’s track gets more footage this time. He plays a seasoned and brainwashed terrorist with confidence. The trailer also features Darshan Kumaar as a police officer. 

Produced by T-Series, Dharmendra Sharma and Vikrant Sharma, Dhokha Round D Corner is to be released in theatres on 23 September.
