Singer Jonita Gandhi to make acting debut in Walking Talking Strawberry Icecream

Well-known singer Jonita Gandhi is now all set to make her acting debut in the upcoming Tamil feature Walking Talking Strawberry Icecream (2023). The news was shared by the film’s producer Vignesh Shivan on his official Twitter handle. He has produced the film along with his wife and star actress Nayanthara under their banner Rowdy Pictures.
“Introducing the very famous, pretty and extremely talented Jonita Gandhi as an actor this time in our dearest film from Rowdy Pictures,” the filmmaker shared while sharing Gandhi's character poster of a young woman named Piku.

The character poster shows her in a glamorous avatar looking towards her right, as if something interesting has caught her attention.
Directed by Vinayak V, Walking Talking Strawberry Icecream also stars Malti Chahar, Vaishnavi, Rachael and Riya Suman in the roles of Anamika, Sangamithra, Tejon Maya and Ketika respectively. The character posters of these actresses were also released by Vignesh recently.

Gandhi, who grew up in Brampton, Canada, has been a singer in the Indian film industry for seven years. She made her debut with Mani Ratnam’s iconic romantic drama O Kadhal Manmani (2015), which starred Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen. She last lent her voice for Yash Raj Films’ Jayeshbhai Jordaar (2022).
