As expected, the Hindi version of director Prashanth Neel’s KGF: Chapter 2 crossed the Rs400 crore mark on its fourth weekend. The Yash-starrer had a brilliant last three days, earning Rs14.50 crore nett, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.

After collecting Rs4.50 crore on Saturday, the film saw a good jump on Sunday when it minted Rs6.25 crore. The grand total of KGF: Chapter 2 stands at a mammoth Rs405.56 crore.
The movie now occupies second spot on the list of highest-grossing Hindi films, the first being held by SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017), which finished at Rs510.56 crore. No original Hindi movie has reached the Rs400 crore mark. The highest collection by a Hindi film was registered by the Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal (2016) at Rs374.63 crore nett.
The keenly awaited Hollywood movie Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness had a successful first weekend at the Indian box office. The latest instalment from the Marvel Cinematic Universe opened with an impressive Rs28 crore. Although there was a slight drop in the next two days, with the Sam Raimi film making Rs26 crore and Rs24.50 crore on Saturday and Sunday, its performance is laudable.
