As a run-up to the release of the Punjabi feature Saunkan Saunkne on 13 May, the title song from the film has been released.

Sung by Ammy Virk, Nimrat Khaira and Miss Pooja, the song’s music is by Desi Crew and the lyricists are Rony Ajnali and Gill Machhrai.

Virk shared the news of the song on Instagram.

In the film, Virk and Mehta play a married couple who have not been able to have a child for some time. The wife proposes that the husband gets married again and suggests that her own sister, played by Khaira, is the one he marries. Although the husband is reluctant, he brings home a second wife.

Saunkan Saunkne trailer: Family squabbles make for entertaining comedy

The title song focuses on the relationship that the two women share and opens with Khaira and Mehta, both of whom are married to Virk, quarrelling with each other. Both of them are cooking dishes in separate places when they get into an argument. Virk and his mother helplessly watch as the argument intensifies. As the husband, he tries to placate both women but to no avail.

The husband gets caught in the middle as the two starts fighting on another occasion. We see Virk standing in the courtyard, seeing glimpses of the women being at each others’ throats all the time. Even the mother-in-law tries to get the two of them to stop but is unsuccessful as they even start throwing utensils at one another!

In one hilarious scene, the women want to dictate the actions of their husband to such an extent that the poor man cannot do anything at all. The song features the women accusing each other and being taunting in their comments.

The comedy seems to be a fun entertainer.
