PR teaser: Filmmaker Manmohan Singh and actor Harbhajan Mann are back

The Punjabi feature, which features Delbar Arya, Kanwaljit Singh, Sardool Sikander, Amar Noori and Karamjit Anmol, will arrive in cinemas on 27 May.

Veteran filmmaker Manmohan Singh and singer-actor Harbhajan Mann are coming together for the upcoming Punjabi-language feature PR, which has been written and directed by Singh.

Manmohan Singh, who worked extensively as a cinematographer with Yash Chopra in many of his films, is credited with bringing about a revival in Punjabi cinema with his family-oriented films that engaged with different social issues.

With his films Jee Aayan Nu (2002), Dil Apna Punjabi (2006), Mitti Wajaan Maardi (2007) and Mera Pind (2008), starring singer-actor Harbhajan Mann, he created a template that is in many ways followed even today.

The teaser of the film has been shared by Mann on Instagram.

The colourful teaser features a bhangra troupe where the girls are singing the traditional Punjabi boliyan. The setting seems to be that of a performance area, where audiences are sitting on chairs and the troupe comes to the front, singing the song. It is clear that Punjabi culture will be at the heart of this film and there is much anticipation to know what the film will be about.

The additional cast includes Delbar Arya, Kanwaljit Singh, Sardool Sikander, Amar Noori and Karamjit Anmol.
