Heropanti 2 and Runway 34 were expected to see a spike in box-office collections on the Eid holiday on Tuesday. But it was the Hindi version of KGF: Chapter 2 that performed well.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film minted Rs9 crore nett on the day, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com. The Yash-starrer had earned Rs3.50 crore nett on Monday.

The film’s total collection in Hindi at the domestic box office now stands at a staggering Rs373.30 crore nett. The lifetime collection of the highest-grossing Hindi film Dangal (2016) was Rs374.53 crore nett.

Both Heropanti 2 and Runway 34 saw an increase in collections on Tuesday but it was far from significant. The Tiger Shroff-starrer, which earned Rs1 crore nett on Monday, made Rs2.75 crore the following day. According to trade sources, the Ahmed Khan movie was made on a budget of Rs70 crore. Its total collection so far stands at a meagre Rs18.75 crore.
Runway 34 review: This star-studded vehicle makes a shaky landing
Runway 34 did a bit better, making Rs3.50 crore on the Eid holiday. The film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh, has so far registered a total collection of Rs18.85 crore nett. This film was made on a budget of Rs65 crore.
No big Hindi films are being released this week. This looks certain to benefit KGF: Chapter 2 rarther than the other two films.
