Jalindar Kumbhar has announced his next directorial venture, London Misal. The film, which is being presented by Subhash Ghai's Mukta Arts Limited, is inspired by a play written by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.

Kumbhar took to social media to announce the film with a poster, which shows a young woman whose face is obscured by a statue with a wig and moustache.

The film is set to go on the floors in London soon and is slated to be released later this year. The story and screenplay have been written by Omkar Mangesh Dutt. The makers have kept the details of the cast and crew under wraps.

This is Kumbhar's third directorial venture after Savitrichya Leki (2008), and Readymix (2019), starring Prarthana Behre, Vaibhav Tatwawadi and Neha Joshi.

Kumbhar said, "I have done films and serials before, now after a long time I am directing Marathi films once again. It is a great pleasure for me to have the opportunity to work with Subhash Ghai for the first time on the occasion of this film."

Also presented by AB International, the film is produced by Amit Basnet, Pari Rana and Suresh Govindrai Pai and co-produced by Mahalasa Entertainment and London Misal Limited.

Sanis Khakurel is the executive producer and Vaishali Patil is the co-producer.
