Yash's KGF: Chapter 2 becomes second non-Tamil movie after Baahubali to enter Rs100 crore club in Tamil Nadu

Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2, which has grossed over Rs1,000 crore worldwide, has entered the Rs100 crore club in Tamil Nadu, becoming the second film dubbed in Tamil after Baahubali 2 (2017) to achieve this feat. 

Entertainment industry tracker Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to announce the news.

He wrote: “#KGF2 has joined the ₹ 100 crs Gross Club in TN. After Baahubali2, becomes the 2nd non-Tamil origin/outside TN import to enter the prestigious ₹ 100 crs Gross Club in TN (sic).” 

In KGF: Chapter 2, directed by Prashanth Neel, Sanjay Dutt plays the primary antagonist. The second chapter follows Rocky Bhai (Yash) as he becomes the king of a goldmine. The film also stars Raveena Tandon.

The film has been released on over 10,000 screens worldwide. It’s the biggest release ever for a Kannada film, which has also been dubbed and released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. 

Speaking at the film's trailer launch, Yash said that Prashanth Neel deserves all the credit for the success of the first film.
