After getting delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film Ananya will finally be released in theatres on 22 July. The feature marks television actress Hruta Durgule’s Marathi debut.
Directed by Pratap Phad, the film is produced by Everest Entertainment and Dreamweaver Entertainment in association with Ravi Jadhav Films. Ananya is based on a successful play of the same name written and directed by the filmmaker himself.
The latest teaser of the film revolves around the titular character (Durgule), although the makers purposely don’t show her face clearly. The film seems to be about a happy-go-lucky young woman, who is an academic overachiever. She also finds love thanks to a character played by Chetan Chitnis.
However, things take a turn for Ananya after she meets with a severe road accident. The film aims to provide a positive message.
Apart from the main character, another striking feature of the teaser is Sameer Saptiskar’s romantic music which exudes old-world charm.
Ananya also stars other well-known artistes such as Suvrat Joshi, Yogesh Soman, Rucha Apte, Renuka Daftardar and Sunil Abhyankar.
