Suriya visits home of fan who died in accident, promises to help family

Suriya, who was last seen in the Tamil rural action-drama Etharkkum Thunindhavan, is busy shooting for a project with filmmaker Bala.
A few days ago, when he learnt about the death of his ardent fan Jagadish in a road accident, the actor paid a visit to his house to pay his respects. The deceased was the secretary of Suriya’s fan club in Namakkal.
As per reports, the artiste promised to get a job for Jagadish’s wife and take care of his daughter’s education expenses.
This is not the first time that Suriya has gone out of his way to connect with his fans on a personal level.
The news of the actor’s visit, along with a picture, was shared by one of Suriya’s fan pages on Twitter.

On the career front, Suriya recently made an inroad into the Hindi film industry as his production company 2D Entertainment is associated with the remake of his own film Soorarai Pottru (2020), starring Akshay Kumar.
Soorarai Pottru is based on the life of captain GR Gopinath, the founder of the budget airline Air Deccan.
The project, which marked Suriya’s maiden collaboration with a female director, also starred Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal and veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu.
