Sung by Gippy Grewal, Zahrah S Khan, Romy and the composer himself, the track doesn't alter Pakistani artiste Abrar Ul Haq's hit radically.

The big fat Punjabi wedding! You know what that means, it's time for a Dharma Productions song. The upcoming Raj Mehta feature Jugjugg Jeeyo (2022) gathers the whole family around for a turn on the dance floor in 'The Punjaabban Song' remixed by Tanishk Bagchi.
The wedding of the youngest daughter gives the family an occasion to celebrate and they all dance exuberantly as one big unit, giving no hint of the desire to part ways, as was seen in the trailer.
The song gives equal opportunity to veterans Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor as well as Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan to shine on the dance floor. Joining them are Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli who are also part of the 'filmi' family.
The 20-year-old Abrar Ul Haq hit has been updated and re-recorded to fit the film, but it retains the rhythm of the original. Composer Bagchi, who also added additional lyrics, is wise to not mess with a classic.
While Haq’s original was a solo, 'The Punjaabban Song' is a family affair. Bagchi is joined by Gippy Grewal, Zahrah S Khan and Romy on vocals. This one too is likely to heat up the dance floor at future weddings.
Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Jugjugg Jeeyo has been distributed by Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd. The family dramedy is due to be released in theatres on 24 June.
