The ensemble cast of Dice Media’s army anthology series Bravehearts has been announced. The upcoming series stars Shakti Kapoor and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi as well as KK Raina, Sayandeep Sengupta, Omkar Kulkarni, Varun Tewarii, Anushka Sharma, Rohit Pargai, Giresh Sehdev, Nazneen Madan and Naman Jain.
Bravehearts, which is partnering with the edtech giant Unacademy, showcases five short films about the families behind those in the armed forces and will capture a unique aspect of the courageous journeys of army men and women and their families.
A new poster of the film shows five stories featuring two generations of families. Actors Shakti Kapoor, Anup Soni and Naman Jain can be seen in three tales.
The trailer of the series was recently shown this week at Cannes' Marché du Film by showrunner Aditi Shrivastava, who is also co-founder and CEO of Pocket Aces.
Sankalp Raj Tripathi, the creative director of the series, said, “Our aim was to make every character look believable but at the same time, surprise the audiences, too. Any human story could create resonance with audiences only when they fall in love with our characters and feel for them. That's where casting the right talents becomes the most integral.”
The trailer will go live online on 28 May, while the first episode will be premiered on 4 June on Dice Media.
