The shoot of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2, which was launched amid much fanfare over two years ago, came to a standstill after three technicians were killed in a tragic crane accident. In the wake of the mishap, several rumours emerged that the project had been put on the backburner following a fallout between the makers and director Shankar.
Kamal, however, has put all rumours to bed. During the promotions of his upcoming release, Vikram, in Chennai, he clarified that the shoot of Indian 2 would resume soon.
“Talks are going on to resume its shooting soon,” he said.
The veteran actor added that nearly 60% of the film has been shot and efforts are being made to complete the project.
Meanwhile, Vikram will be released on 3 June. The film marks the maiden collaboration of the senior artiste and director Lokesh Kanagaraj. It also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Suriya and Fahadh Faasil.
Tipped to be an action film, Vikram is rumoured to see Kamal in the role of an agent.
Meanwhile, Kamal recently confirmed that he’s writing a script for Maalik director Mahesh Narayanan.
