Less than a week after its digital premiere, Jersey (2022), starring Shahid Kapoor, has broken into Netflix's global top 10 films list at number seven with 4.4 million hours viewed.
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Allu Aravind, the Hindi remake of the director's Telugu hit Jersey (2019), co-stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur.
The film is also trending at number two in top 10 films in India; it has also made it to the top 10 films in 11 other countries, including the UAE, Bangladesh and Qatar, for the week 16–22 May.

Speaking about the film’s success on Netflix, Shahid Kapoor said, “Jersey is one of the films that is very close to my heart because it says something that has stayed with me. Besides Jersey, Gangubai Kathiawadi (at number four), RRR (Hindi) (at number six), and Raw (Hindi) (at number 10) have also figured prominently on the top 10 non-English films list worldwide.
