Makers of Akhil Akkineni’s Agent share image from sets in Manali

The shoot of Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming Telugu action-thriller Agent is progressing at a brisk pace in Manali, the makers revealed on Wednesday.

Sharing a picture from the sets, the makers revealed that they are filming high-octane action sequences.

Rumoured to be inspired by the Bourne franchise, the film will see Akhil play an agent who has to uncover his own identity after losing his memory. 

The film, which is being directed by Surender Reddy, also stars Malayalam superstar Mammootty. 

Last December, Akhil gave a glimpse of his beefed-up look for Agent on social media. Hailing his transformation, several fans reacted with fire emojis. 

Earlier this year in July, Akhil shared a picture from his transformation process. 

“365 days back, I was challenged by Surender Reddy to transform myself mentally and physically. Sir, the fire you have ignited in me will burn furiously throughout this film. I promise you that (sic),” he tweeted. 

Akhil was last seen in the Telugu romantic comedy Most Eligible Bachelor, which was directed by Bhaskar. The film, which was a box-office hit, saw Akhil play an NRI while Pooja Hegde was seen as a stand-up comedian.
