Zhaadi-patti is a theatre tradition that is popular in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. Despite being one of the most popular mediums of entertainment for decades, this art form has never received its due in mainstream media. Director Trushant Ingle seeks to change this with his maiden directorial venture Zollywood.

The trailer introduces various characters and subplots. Playwright and production company owner Deepak (Ajit Khobragade) has left his old theatre group and now started a similar organization of his own to transform the zhaadi-patti theatre tradition. He also gets support from his play's female lead.
The trailer is cut quite smartly as it gives the viewer an idea about the film's docu-fiction tone without revealing anything about the plot.
Produced by Wishberry Films and presented by Amit Masurkar, Zollywood is slated to arrive in cinemas on 3 June.
