Director Vishal Furia’s Forensic (2022) is the official Hindi remake of the acclaimed Malayalam movie of the same name released in 2020. While the Hindi version stars Vikrant Massey and Radhika Apte, the original was headlined by Tovino Thomas and Mamta Mohandas.
The teaser for Forensic, which was released recently, gives an overview of the world in which the film is set. The film is about a serial killer who has been murdering little girls.
The movie sees Massey’s character playing the role of a forensic expert who is trying to find evidence at the crime scenes and piece the clues together in his laboratory. Apte plays a police inspector who goes about her duty with dedication. She is leading the team assigned to capture the killer.
The look and feel of the teaser indicate that the movie is not for the faint-hearted. This is probably why the makers are releasing it directly online. While it is difficult to guess from the teaser how the lead artistes have performed in the film, both Massey and Apte seem promising in whatever little we see of them. The film's editing and background score also appear impressive.
