Of all the actors that appeared in Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Rajpal Yadav is the only one to have reprised his role in the sequel. While the first film was helmed by Priyadarshan, Anees Bazmee has directed the follow-up, which stars Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.
Yadav is happy to be a part of the project. “It is a great honour for me,” he told Cinestaan.com. “I would like to thank the director, producers and the audience for making me a part of the second film too. Thankfully, I fitted as an actor in both the films and I am happy about that.”
Though the senior actor will play Chhote Pandit once again, he pointed out that it isn’t exactly the character from the 2007 movie. “The name of the character is the same but his mentality in the second film is different,” he said.
Yadav said that it was fun working in both movies. “The directors of both the films are different and have different personalities. Anees Bhai has his own take on cinema and he has done well. And Priyanji has his own way of thinking,” he said.
After Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which will be released tomorrow, Yadav will star in Palash Muchhal’s Ardh opposite Ruina Dilaik. The film will be premiered on Zee5 on 10 June.
