Pavel's next film, Parijayee, to star in Oindrila Sen as a YouTuber 

Director Pavel has announced his next venture, Parijayee, which revolves around a YouTuber. The character will be essayed by Oindrila Sen, and her real-life partner Ankush Hazra will be paired opposite her. Parijayee will feature Anirban Chakrabarti, Mishka Halim, Anindya Chatterjee and Biswarup Biswas.

Speaking about the film to Anya Samay, an entertainment supplement of Bengali newspaper Ei Samay, the director said, “The fear of losing our job and working under pressure increase stress in our daily life, which also affects our relationships. No matter how hard we try to settle down, the equation with our closed ones gets complicated. Parijayee will explore these complexities in detail.”

Sen and Hazra have been dating for the past decade and in the film also, their characters have also been in a 10-year relationship. Pavel revealed that Chakrabarti’s character will surprise the audience.

The film will be mostly shot in London and Scotland from June.

Pavel recently finished shooting for Daktar Kaku (2021), starring Prosenjit Chatterjee and Riddhi Sen.

His film Kolkata Chalontika, starring Aparajita Adhya, Ditipriya Roy, Kharaj Mukherjee, Sourav Das, Ishaa Saha, and Rajatava Dutta, is slated to be released in theatres on 17 July.
