Newcomers Niraj Suryakant and Tejaswini Shirke's upcoming romantic drama Tirsaat is the story of a young man who is ready to put up a fight against anyone for his love.
Balu (Niraj Suryakant) is madly in love with Sami (Shirke). He spends his day stealing glimpses of her from afar. It appears that she reciprocates his feelings and they fall in love and find ways to spend time with each other.
However, Vinya (Sujit Choure), who comes from an influential family. also has his eyes on Sami. He tries his best to ruin Balu and Sami's relationship using his influence.
If the teaser for the film had left any room for doubt, the two-and-a-half-minute trailer makes it clear that this is yet another run-of-the-mill romantic drama about a rich girl and poor boy set in a small town.
Certain scenes, such as the female lead standing up to a bully for her lover, will instantly remind you of the cult hit Sairat (2016). There are a few more similarities between the films.
The male lead, Niraj Suryakant, looks promising despite the clichéd role. The actor appears confident and has good screen presence.
Directed by Pradip Tonge and Mangesh Shendge and produced by Dinesh Arun Kirve, Tirsaat is scheduled to be released in cinemas on 20 May. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
