We have seen films where the love between two people begins as hate. This is also the case in director Kiranraj K’s Kannada movie 777 Charlie but this story is about the bond between a man and a dog.

The film revolves around Dharma (Rakshit Shetty), who works in a factory. His mundane life is so uninteresting that it has made him egoistic and angry. This earns him the nickname ‘Hitler Mama'.

Dharma’s life takes a turn when he comes across a stray dog who starts living with him. Due to circumstances, the dog will have to stay with him for a while. Dharma is not one bit happy about this and is fed up with the dog. But the dog, whom he names Charlie, ultimately wins him over. Now, he will do anything to keep Charlie with him.

The trailer indicates that 777 Charlie has its heart in the right place. It seems that the makers have treated the dog like a human character. The transformation of Dharma’s feelings toward Charlie is impressive. There is also some intelligent humour on display.

Rakshit Shetty, who is also the producer of the film along with GS Gupta, succeeds in showing a range of emotions in the role of Dharma.

777 Charlie will be released in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam on 10 June. The Hindi version will be distributed by UFO Moviez.

Check out the trailer and let us know if you are keen on watching the film.
