Ye Re Ye Re Pavsa, starring Vinayak Potdar and Aarya Adhav, to be released on 17 June

Directed by Shafaq Khan and produced by Shariq Khan, the film revolves around two kids who come up with an idea to save their drought-hit village.

After a three-year wait, Ye Re Ye Re Pavsa, starring child artistes Vinayak Potdar and Aarya Adhav, will arrive in theatres. The film, which has been to various international film festivals, is set to hit the screens on 17 June.

Directed by Shafaq Khan and produced by Shariq Khan, the film revolves around two kids who come up with an idea to save their drought-hit village. Potdar and Adhav play characters named Raghu and Salman. The film was completed in 2019 and was supposed to be released in 2020 but got postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Speaking about their characters and the film's subject, Adhav and Potdar said in a statement, "Often, children simply do something that even adults can't. This film shows that sometimes adults really need to learn from the little ones. The film not only gives an important message about drought but also talks about why we need to look beyond caste and other discriminatory customs and work together to do something good for society."

The film also stars Chhaya Kadam, Milind Shinde, Sandesh Jadhav, Pradeep Nawale and Chinmayee Salvi.

Ye Re Ye Re Pavsa's story is by Bhushan Dalvi, who has co-written the screenplay with the director Shafaq Khan. The film has been produced by Shariq Khan under S Cube Films India LLP and will be distributed by AA Films.

The film will clash with the Girish Kulkarni and Tanaji Galgunde-starrer Bhirkit and Medium Spicy, starring Lalit Prabhakar and Sai Tamhankar.
