The Archies teaser: Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda take us to the world of Riverdale

Zoya Akhtar has revealed the cast of her upcoming musical film The Archies. 

The film, which will be released on Netflix, stars Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan, Sridevi's younger daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda. The Archies also stars Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda. 

The announcement of the cast was made with a nostalgia-inducing teaser.

The video shows the cast goofing off while a peppy song plays in the background. It shows the strong bond and the friendship between the friends as they play around on what appears to be a picnic in a park near the woods. Ankur Tiwari's score perfectly captures youthful energy and excitement.

The Archie Comics franchise had its genesis in issue 22 of the comic book anthology series Pep Comics, which came out in late 1941. It remains popular among teenagers as it tells the tale of Archie Andrews and his friends, which include Jughead Jones, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge and Reggie Mantle, who reside in the fictional town of Riverdale.

The feature film will be produced by Akhtar's banner, Tiger Baby Films, and Graphic India and will be streamed on Netflix in 2023.
