First of all, it is exciting news for Johnny Lever fans that he is set to make a comeback to Gujarati cinema. The actor was last seen in a Gujarati film in Pappa Tamne Nahi Samjhaye (2017), directed by Dharmessh Mehta.

Mehta has cast the king of comedy once again in the upcoming Jaysuk Zdpayo (2022). Jimit Trivedi plays the titular role of Jaysuk who always has sadness in his life. Lever, on the other hand, plays Mansuk, whose sister falls in love with Jaysuk and wants to marry him at any cost.

The film looks like a roller-coaster ride arising out of some funny situations, but it’s the banter between Lever and Trivedi which is the USP of the trailer.

Trivedi, who is a known face in Gujarati theatre and cinema and was seen in Umesh Shukla’s 102 Not Out (2018) alongside Amitabh Bachchan and the late Rishi Kapoor, has impeccable comic timing and his one-liners in the trailer leave you laughing. The dialogues we get a glimpse of are impressive.

The film also stars Puja Joshi, Anang Desai, Hardik Sangani and Sangeeta Khanayat. Sukhwinder Singh, Javed Ali, Palak Muchhal and Bhoomi Trivedi have lent their voices to the title track, which can be heard in the background in the trailer.

Going by the trailer, expectations from Jaysuk Zdpayo must be quite high. If the film as a whole is at least as entertaining as the trailer is, audiences are in for a fun time.

Jaysuk Zdpayo is set to be released on 3 June. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
