The upcoming Oho Gujarati web-series Missing (2022) seemingly begins with a couple in love, played by Deeksha Joshi and Yash Soni. Lying in the sunlight, the man asks, “If we hadn’t met in these circumstances, what would have happened?”
The woman replies that while she doesn’t know, she is happy with him. The big reveal is that the young woman is being hidden away by her captor; she has been abducted from the city and hidden away in this remote area.
Directed by Abhishek Jain, the series is inspired by several real cases of abduction in the state of Gujarat and looks at the complex condition of the so-called Stockholm syndrome in its storyline. In the brief two-minute video, the leads Joshi and Soni convey the unusual and twisted relationship between the two.
The two stars are also appearing in the upcoming Gujarati feature Fakt Mahilao Mate which is currently underproduction. Missing is due to be released in August on Oho Gujarati.
