The Hindi version of Rakshit Shetty’s Kannada movie 777 Charlie (2022) will be distributed by UFO Moviez across India.
The film, with Shetty in the lead and directed by Kiranraj K, will be released on 10 June in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The Hindi trailer will be released on 16 May.
Speaking about UFO Moviez coming on board, a spokesperson for the firm said, “The OTT platforms have erased language barriers. 777 Charlie does not feel like a dubbed film in the four other languages. Given its universal subject and its canine hero, we are confident that the film will draw audiences in every language.”
Shetty added, “We are excited to be working with UFO as our distribution partner for the Hindi version. The decision to release the film pan-India was made especially looking at increasing number of people adopting pets after the lockdown.”
777 Charlie is about an arrogant and unapproachable man named Dharma (Shetty) who works at a factory. His lonely and mundane life is overrun by an enthusiastic dog named Charlie which changes him forever.
Produced by Shetty himself with GS Gupta, 777 Charlie also stars Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B Shetty, Bobby Simha, Sharvari and Praanya P Rao.
UFO Moviez is an investor in Cinestaan Digital Private Limited, which runs this website.
