The release of Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain Returns (2022) has been postponed to 29 July.

The sequel, starring John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria, was due to arrive in theatres on 8 July.

Suri announced the new date online. The film will now go up against Indra Kumar's Thank God (2022) starring Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh.

Incidentally, Malhotra starred in the first film, Ek Villain (2014), alongside Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.

Ek Villain Returns went on the floors in March 2021 and was wrapped up a year later. The film has already been delayed twice this year; the new July date marks the third time it has been rescheduled.

Co-produced by T-Series and Balaji Telefilms, Ek Villain Returns will be distributed by AA Films Pvt Ltd.
