BE Rojgaar trailer: Three unemployed engineers return to their roots

Directed by Sarang Satheye and starring Sai Tamhankar, Sambhaji Sasane and Jagdish Kannam, the series will be streamed from 20 May.

India's unemployment rate has been surging over the past few years and COVID-19 has made things even worse as it has resulted in the decline in India’s manufacturing sector. Sarang Satheye and Saurabh Shamraj are set to address this issue with their upcoming web series BE Rojgaar.

The trailer of the series introduces us to three unemployed engineers Piyu (Sai Tamhankar), Akshay (Jagdish Kannam) and Papdya (Sambhaji Sasane). The trio live as roommates in a small house in Pune and are trying their best to land a job. But to their dismay, they always get rejected. The trio finally decide to launch their own start-up with some 'jugaad'. And for this, they return to their roots.

The trailer indicates that along with some serious dramatic moments, we will also get an ample dose of humour in the series. The show, which was shot by Aditya Divekar, also has a very refreshing look to it. Another thing that really stands out is Sai Tamhankar's performance. It seems the actress has put a lot of effort into getting the dialect right. In a deglamorized avatar, she looks quite natural as a girl from a small town. She also seems to have excellent chemistry with her co-stars.

Produced by Paula McGlynn, Anusha Nandakumar and Sarang Sathaye, BE Rojgaar will be streamed on Bhartiya Digital Party's YouTube channel from 20 May.
